There are about 100 bottlenose dolphins that live in Port Stephens and they are regular visitors to Shoal Bay.
They dont seem to be disturbed too much by paddle-boarders and we regularly encounter them when paddling around shoal bay. They will often pass directly under our boards and when this happens it is always a thrill.
The best times to see dolphins in Shoal Bay are early in the mornings and late afternoons , though they also regularly frequent during other times.
We love our dolphins so much that our ocean and harmony boards have the dolphin as part of its design.
